MODERASI BERAGAMA (WASATHIYYAH) PERSPEKTIF AL-QUR’AN: STUDI ANALISIS TAFSIR AL-MISBAH DAN RELEVANSINYA DALAM KONTEKS INDONESIA MODERN

Abstract

This study explains that Quraish Shihab is a contemporary mufassir who carries the spirit of the moderate Qur'an (wasathiyyah) in the context of modern life. The indications are proven by his interpretation of verses related to relations between religious communities in carrying out their respective religious teachings by prioritizing the values of basic human rights. This view is also in line with the principle of life in the context of Modern Indonesia under the principle of Pancasila. To examine these thoughts, the author refers to his tafsir book as the main source, namely Tafsir Al-Misbah and other books that can support the explanation of this study. The method used is descriptive analytical by using library data (library research). It is a research that provides a descriptive picture by exploring the interpretation pattern or interpretation method used by Quraish Shihab.
