Abstract

This study aims to: (1) examine community service activities at TPQ Al-Muhajirin, (2) assess the art of Qur'an recitation, and (3) analyze its influence on students’ Qur'anic reading ability during community service activities by the Islamic Education program at TPQ Al-Muhajirin Tanjungpinang. Using a quantitative approach, data was collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The findings show that the implementation of community service activities is categorized as good, with a questionnaire score of 71.7%, falling within the 60%-80% range. Similarly, students’ ability to read the Qur'an is categorized as good, with a score of 69.7% in the same range.The effect of recitation activities on students' reading ability is 0.360, indicating a weak correlation (range 0.20–0.39). However, the significance value is 0.000, which is less than 0.050, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (Ho) and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha). This confirms a significant influence of recitation activities on Qur'anic reading ability. The magnitude of the effect is 13%, while the remaining 87% is attributed to other unexamined variables. These results highlight the positive, though limited, impact of recitation art on improving Qur'anic reading skills in TPQ Al-Muhajirin’s community service program.
