The "Taqwa Village: One Day, One Prayer" program was implemented at Al-Mustaqim Mosque, Sei Ladi, from April 15 to May 31, 2025, engaging 20 elementary school-age children divided into two groups based on grade level. The pedagogical methods employed encompassed storytelling, repetition and habituation, and multimedia audio-visual techniques. The findings demonstrate that children successfully memorized 32-40 out of 40 prayers taught (80% success rate), with indicators of religious consciousness evidenced through consistent attendance at Maghrib and Isha prayer services. Prayer learning proved efficacious in developing the character trait of humility (tawadhu'), fostering empathy, instilling patience, and establishing discipline. Challenges encountered included the influence of the digital era, disparities in family environmental support, and monotonous instructional methods. This research affirms that prayer learning constitutes not merely a religious ritual, but rather a strategic instrument for holistic personality development encompassing spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and social dimensions to cultivate a generation of noble character.

Keywords: prayer learning, religious consciousness, noble character

Neli Hidayah, Naufal Haajid, Susantri Copyright (c) 2025 TOTALITAS https://journal.iaimutanjungpinang.ac.id/totalitas/article/view/168 Fri, 08 Aug 2025 19:04:03 +0700 Pengelolaan Sampah Berbasis Edukasi di Sei Timun: Inovasi Mahasiswa KKN untuk Lingkungan Lestari https://journal.iaimutanjungpinang.ac.id/totalitas/article/view/163
In 2025, students participating in the Community Service Program (KKN) introduced an innovative initiative: an education-based waste management program through the IAI MU Tanjungpinang Waste Bank. This program aims to create a clean and healthy environment by enhancing the community's knowledge and skills in sorting, processing, and managing waste independently and sustainably. The KKN activities of Student Group 3 in Sei Timun, RT 002 RW 004, were conducted using a participatory and educational method based on community empowerment. This approach aims to actively involve the community in every stage of the program, fostering a sense of ownership and sustainability in its implementation. Through the "Wise Waste Management" workshop, a weekly waste collection system, and direct community outreach, the students were able to cultivate an environmentally conscious culture within the community. Despite facing several challenges such as limited facilities, a short implementation period, and low awareness among some residents, the program still demonstrated a significant positive impact.
Sirly Deska, Fajar Al_Hafid, Riska Ayuningtias Copyright (c) 2025 TOTALITAS https://journal.iaimutanjungpinang.ac.id/totalitas/article/view/163 Fri, 08 Aug 2025 19:07:22 +0700
