Pengaruh Gaya Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah Terhadap Kepuasaan Kerja Guru Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri Tanjungpinang
Abstract
The aim of the study is to observe the effect of the principal's leadership style on teacher job satisfaction. The research was conducted in the environment of the Tanjungpinang Junior High School Education Office using survey methods, with questionnaires through a path analysis approach. The population consists of all teachers at Tanjungpinang Junior High School, using random sampling techniques. The study includes a hypothesis, namely that there is a direct influence: 1) the principal's leadership style on teacher job satisfaction. Instrument testing was carried out to obtain the validity of the statement items and the reliability of the instrument using the Pearson Product Moment and Cronbach's Alpha formulas. The instrument for teacher job satisfaction has a reliability of rtt=0.9428, and the principal's leadership style has a reliability of rtt=0.9520. The predicted relationship was analyzed using simple linear regression. The results concluded that: 1) there is a very significant direct influence of the principal's leadership style (X1) towards the job satisfaction of teachers (X2) obtained the regression equation 2 = 45.527 + 0.647 X1, the correlation coefficient r12 = 0.603 and the effect coefficient of X1 on X2 p21 = 0.548 at a significance level of α = 0.05. Ultimately, the results of this research are expected to be beneficial for the education sector and specifically for the job satisfaction of junior high school teachers in Tanjungpinang.
