Dampak Eco Green Terhadap Kepedulian Santri dalam Menjaga Lingkungan di Pondok Pesantren Ibnu Abbas Tanjungpinang

Abstract

The Environmental issues have increasingly become a major concern across various sectors of life, including in religious-based educational institutions such as Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren). The implementation of the Eco-Green concept serves as a strategic solution in fostering awareness and concern for environmental sustainability. This study aims to: (1) examine the implementation of the Eco-Green concept at Salafiyah Wustho and Ulya Ibnu Abbas Islamic Boarding School in Tanjungpinang; (2) assess students’ (santri) awareness in maintaining environmental cleanliness at the boarding school; and (3) determine the influence of the Eco-Green concept on students’ environmental awareness at the same institution. The research subjects were students studying at the Salafiyah Ibnu Abbas Islamic Boarding School in Tanjungpinang. The data collection techniques used in this study included observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The conclusion of this study shows that the Eco-Green concept at Salafiyah Wustho and Ulya Ibnu Abbas Islamic Boarding School in Tanjungpinang falls into the "good" category with a score of 77%. Meanwhile, students’ awareness in maintaining environmental cleanliness is also categorized as good, with a score of 69.4%. The influence of the implementation of the Eco-Green concept on students’ environmental awareness at the boarding school is 32.2%, as determined by the coefficient of determination. Thus, the results of the analysis indicate that the implementation of the Eco-Green concept has a significant effect on students’ awareness in maintaining the environment at Salafiyah Ibnu Abbas Wustho and Ulya Islamic Boarding School in Tanjungpinang.
